Melissa Hill

Melissa has been successful in leading multiple claim operations domestically and internationally in her 25 plus years in claims. Several of her leadership roles included significant technology changes as well as operational changes to be a profitable claim center for the organization. Throughout her career, she has always partnered with underwriting, compliance, customer relations and reinsurance to ensure claims is aligned with the overall customer experience. Her passion for the use of data and analytics to support data-driven decisions took her from an outstanding career at AIG to a start-up insurance company before her journey brought her to American Family heading up the Claims Operations wherein, she helped lead and build the data and analytics teams. From there, Melissa has taken her passion for data, analytics and artificial intelligence into Kemper Auto, leading a 3000 plus claims team into the future of claim handling in non-standard auto insurance market to ensure affordable protection in an ever-changing world.    

Melissa was featured as one of The Most Influential Women in Re/Insurance in 2017. 

Melissa lives on a ranch in the North Georgia Mountains with 3 rescue horses and 2 rescue dogs; when she is not working the ranch, she is a marathon runner.
