She has spent the past year learning how to evaluate the risks associated with asset management submissions which consists of hedge funds, fintechs, registered investment advisors, and startups. She graduated from St. Johns University in 2019 with a bachelors degree in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Spanish. During her time in college, she interned at SCOR RE as a claims treaty intern and this is where she was really able to determine her interest in the insurance industry. It was imperative to her that she found a career which incorporated both a legal component as well as an analytical component, her internship showed her that she was able to have both. After graduating, she decided to accept an opportunity to work at Aspen insurance as their graduate trainee in their rotational underwriting program where she able to rotate into different underwriting teams and she was able to obtain that social component that she felt she was missing from claims. During her time of being in the industry, she was able to see the lack of diversity and the need to have change. . She hopes that while partaking in this organization she will be able to bring more exposure to the industry to anyone who is interested to join and demonstrate that this industry is welcoming of all.
