Ron C. Hamilton

Ron C. Hamilton has more than 20 years of financial services experience. He started his career at M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY. Currently, he serves as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Governance and Operations Services at Swiss Re, a leading and highly diversified global reinsurance firm. His global team is spread across seven countries. They oversee 12 departments and support Ron in providing oversight in understanding and mitigating operational, regulatory and financial risks.

Understanding the value of giving and serving, Ron’s commitment to the betterment of others and community continues to be proven a priority. He serves and supports several organizations such as, Involve Mentoring, 100 Black Men, D-Free Financial Literacy, Executive Co-Chair of the Swiss Re Americas DEI Council and is a co-founder of the Swiss Re's - Mosaic BIPOC Employee Resource Group. During the pandemic, he expanded his involvement to serve on the University of Buffalo's (UB) Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Roundtable and became Chairperson of the UBG Federal Credit Union. Most recently, he was appointed to the UB School of Management Dean's Advisory Council.

He received his B.S. and M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is Six Sigma, Compliance and Regulatory and PROSCI Change-Management certified and holds numerous insurance designations.  Ron firmly believes that we lead by serving and gain by giving.  To whom much is given, much is required.
